Prof. Geddes Receives First Mentorship Award

Comparative Politics Prof. Barbara Geddes has been awarded the initial UCLA Graduate Mentorship Award by the Political Science Graduate Student Association, for 2014. The award will now be presented to one full-time faculty annually in recognition of “outstanding mentorship.” Prof. Geddes has been part of the UCLA Political Science faculty since 1984 and has served as Vice Chair of Graduate Studies for three terms in addition to service on numerous graduate dissertation committees.

She is also currently completing her next book, “How Dictatorships Work” for Cambridge University Press.
