Natalie Bryce
Biography
My research interests include international law, human rights, political violence, and international organizations. Broadly, my work explores how international relations influence the prevention and punishment of international crimes. My current research projects fall into three lines of inquiry: 1) the impact of UN human rights investigations on the international justice ecosystem, 2) the structural factors that influence which individuals are prosecuted for international crimes, and 3) how new technologies are changing international and transnational justice processes. Beyond UCLA, I am an Adjunct Professor in the International Studies Department at Pepperdine University. I also serve as a Data Consultant for the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum’s Early Warning Project, which works to identify countries statistically most at risk for mass killing, with the goal of preventing future mass atrocities. My professional background includes a decade of experience in nonprofit administration in the education, arts and social justice sectors.
