Biography

Joey is a first-year Ph.D. student in Political Science at UCLA. In 2026, he served as a predoctoral research fellow under Luís Bettencourt in the Department of Ecology and Evolution at the University of Chicago. He previously earned an M.A. in Quantitative Methods from the University of Chicago, as well as an M.A. in Global Studies and a B.A. in Philosophy from Johns Hopkins University.
