Alexandria Davis
Biography
Alexandria Davis is a UCLA Ph.D. Candidate in Political Science with a concentration in Race, Ethnicity, and Politics. Her research interests include racial and ethnic politics, Black political behavior, political psychology, intersectionality, and voting.
In her dissertation project, she proposes a novel measure to best conceptualize Black non-voting called Black voter apathy. Alexandria specifically seeks to advocate for members of the Black electorate who feel disillusioned by electoral politics and seek alternative avenues for political engagement. Additionally, her dissertation seeks to serve as a nexus for Black political thought, psychology, and political science to better understand Black political behavior and political socialization.
