Middle East Event to Honor Emeritus Prof. Binder

Co-sponsored with UCLA’s Center for Middle East Development and others, “5 Decades of Middle East Studies” is an afternoon-long event honoring Emeritus Prof. Leonard Binder, who retired from the Political Science department in 2012.  Five leading Middle East specialists from universities across the country will take part Wednesday, November 19 (Sequoia Room, UCLA Faculty Center) starting at 1:30 PM. for a wide-ranging discussion on the future of the Middle East.  At 3:30 PM, the talk will be followed by a tribute to Prof. Binder from his former students and colleagues, ending with remarks from the honoree.  RSVP at the link following.
