AP Workshops Welcome Vanderbilt’s Bartels
Just before the midterm 2014 U.S. elections, Political Science will kick off its AMERICAN POLITICS subdiscipline workshops for 2014-15 with Prof. Larry Bartels of Vanderbilt University — an award-winning author and educator whose research delves deep into the underpinnings of public opinion and electoral politics, making him a “go-to” resource for elections researchers from academia as well as political spheres. Earlier this year, he received the Warren E. Miller Prize for an outstanding career of intellectual accomplishment and service to the profession in the field of elections, public opinion, and voting behavior. Prof. Bartels will here discuss his upcoming co-authored (with Christopher Achen of Princeton) book, “DEMOCRACY FOR REALISTS.” The workshop begins at 12:30 PM on Friday, October 24, in Bunche 4357.
