Political Science Commencement 2024

Congratulations, Class of 2024!

The 2024 Political Science Commencement Ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, June 16th at 8:30am at Pauley Pavilion and is expected to last approximately two hours.

Students should arrive at the south fence of the Wasserman football field at 7:30am to line up for the procession into Pauley Pavilion.

Guests should arrive at least 45 minutes prior to the ceremony.

Tickets

A ticket is required for each graduate and their guests. Infants or small children who will sit on an adult’s lap don’t need a ticket. You will not be allowed to enter Pauley Pavilion without a ticket.

The ticket ordering window for students is now closed. Students who would like to purchase additional tickets or haven’t placed an order should contact the Political Science Undergraduate Office via Message Center with the total number of guest tickets requested by Monday, June 10 at 5:00pm.

Students can order one graduate ticket and up to 20 guest tickets. The first four tickets are free. Additional tickets are $20 per ticket and will be posted to the student’s BruinBill.

Ticket Distribution

Tickets will be delivered via email between Friday, May 31-Friday, June 14. You will receive two emails from cto@tickets.ucla.edu: one with your student ticket and another with your guest tickets. Please check that your email address on MyUCLA is correct and check your spam folder to ensure that you don’t miss these emails.

Name Card

Name cards are available for pick-up Monday-Friday from 10:00am-4:00pm at the Political Science front office in Bunche 4289 until Friday, June 7. Please have your UID ready when you pick up your card.

Students should fill out the card and bring it with them to the commencement ceremony. The card will be given to a faculty member who will announce the graduate’s name as they cross the stage.  The reader card also facilitates the organization of the graduates’ photos.

Parking

To avoid long lines at the self-service pay stations, we recommend purchasing a parking permit in advance via the Bruin ePermit Event Parking Portal. For additional information, please visit: https://transportation.ucla.edu/campus-parking/commencement-parking

Disabilities

If you have a disability that will limit your mobility, please contact the Political Science Undergraduate Office via Message Center. Sign language interpreters are available upon request.

Cap and Gown

Students can order their caps and gowns at Graduation Etc. here. Please bring bobby pins to secure your cap.

  • Noisemakers including thunder sticks, musical instruments, whistles, air horns and boom boxes
  • Weapons or projectiles
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Any beverages except water in a sealed container
  • Food (other than for medicinal reasons or for young children)
  • Glass, metal or hard plastic containers of any size
  • Hard or soft sided coolers of any size
  • Boxes or wrapped packages of any size
  • Animals (other than service animals required because of a disability)
  • Balls, toys or sports equipment
  • Banners, signs or flags
  • Helium balloons
  • Laser pointers
  • Poles or sticks, including selfie sticks
  • Monopods or tripods
  • Telephoto lenses longer than 6”
  • Strollers
  • Skates, skateboards, scooters or bicycles
