Rodolfo Solis
Biography
Rodolfo Solís is a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at UCLA whose research examines U.S. Latino politics, political behavior, partisan alignment, and the relationship between identity and social belonging. Drawing on 85 in-depth interviews conducted in South Texas, his dissertation explains how Latino Republicans come to see their partisan alignment as fitting with their ideological commitments and social identities while maintaining meaningful ties to Latino identity and the immigrant experience. His research on ideological sorting among Latino Republicans has been published in Political Research Quarterly.
