Professor Chris Tausanovitch and Professor Lynn Vavreck received funding from the Democracy Fund for their project NATIONSCAPE, the largest dedicated survey of political attitudes and election choice ever fielded.

They will interview 6,200 people a week, every week, between July 2019 and election day 2020. The survey will allow them to investigate and compare people’s issue priorities and political preferences across units as small as mid-size cities across the U.S. The project was developed in consultation with UC faculty members Michael Tesler (Irvine) and Kevin Esterling (Riverside) with support from the survey firm LUCID, Inc. Graduates students Aaron Rudkin, Alex Hayes, Tyler Reny, Brian Hamel, Derek Holliday, and Bradley Mankoff will staff the project.
